2020 Convocation Theme: “God is on the move and so shall we!”

Biblical Text: Matthew 14:22-33

The theme is both a declaration and a response. We as Pentecost people, declare that God is on the move!

As we gather on the Hawaiian shores for such a time as this, Matthew’s narrative calls each of us outside the places we feel comfortable, to leave the shore behind, and go onto the open seas with Jesus. As we go, Jesus is never far away. We are called forth as to discover and re-discover God who is on the move!

Join us at the 17th NAFAUM Convocation & Young People’s Summit

Warm greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The NAFAUM 17th Convocation & Young People’s Summit will be held on August 5-8, 2020 at Christ UMC, Honolulu, Hawaii. This decision was made because Hawaii is a global destination and home to the second largest Filipino population in the United States. Missionally, we have thriving Filipino congregations in Hawaii and 1993 was the last time we held the Convocation on the Hawaiian shores.

The Convocation theme is “God Is On The Move…And So Shall We!” based from Matthew 14:22-33. The theme is both a declaration and a response. We, as Pentecost people, declare that God is on the move! With declaration comes with a response from the people of God. This is a positive, forward looking response: ”So Shall We!”
